I’m a massive gangster film fan and was very pleased to pick up this brief. The challenge came from the quick-turnaround of the project, along with the desire to try something original. It soon occurred to me that Ray Liotta’s monologues from Goodfella’s was the perfect device to drive a narrative and bind the films together.
